この新しいプロジェクト「The Missing Piece」は、警察によって押収された銃から作られた銃キットを記録したものです。分解された銃から一部のパーツが取り除かれることで、それらはアメリカの法律上、もはや銃として認識されなくなります。そのため、完全に規制の対象外となり、身元調査なしで誰でも購入可能となります。

This new project, The Missing Piece, documents gun kits that are derived from guns that been confiscated by the police. With a single piece removed from the dismantled weapon, they no longer qualify as firearms under American law. They are completely unregulated and can be bought by anyone without a background check.
