Ontology of the Self セルフ存在論


Ontology of the Self centers on the theme of “self-ontology,” exploring the tension between existence, belief, and self-awareness through digital art and mixed media. The works are not mere representations but thought experiments: using the self, symbols, and metaphors as mediums to reveal the individual’s struggle and inquiry when confronting life, truth, and illusion. The exhibition seeks to uncover the possibility of the “self” as a convergence of philosophy and art, inviting viewers to reflect: is the self we perceive truly real, or merely a projection of illusion?

『Ontology of the Self（セルフ存在論）』は「自我本体論」を核心に据え、デジタルアートと複合的なメディアを通して、存在、信仰、自己意識の間にある緊張を探求する。本作は単なる再現ではなく、一つの思考実験である。自己、記号、象徴を媒介とし、生命、真理、幻影に直面する個人の問いと葛藤を表現する。本展は「自己」が哲学と芸術の交差点となり得る可能性を提示し、観者に問いかける——私たちが見ている自己は真実なのか、それとも幻の投影にすぎないのか。
