M2 gallery

Gallery Place M is the experimental space of photography managed by four photographers who are Ohno Nobuhiko, Seto Masato, Nakai Hiroyasu, Moriyama Daido. Place M is opened widely to everyone at all time through a rental gallery and exhibision projects, a workshop "Yorunoshasin gakkou" which to think about photography and aim to make photo works, a practical darkroom workshop, a rental darkroom, etc...

Gallery : 12:00-19:00 / seven days a week (except new year days.)
Rental darkroom : 24hours / seven days a week (need reservation)

Seto Masato (delegate of PlaceM)

Born in Udonthani, Thailand in 1953. Photographer. worked as an assistantat of photographer Fukase Masahisa, After graduation from Tokyo Shashin Senmon Gakkou (Tokyo Visual Arts). indipendented as a free lance photographer in 1981. Established Gallery Place M in Yotsuya 4 chome. Shinjuku, Tokyo with Yamauchi Michio in 1987.

Plenty of exhibisions in the world.

Ohno Nobuhiko

Born in Yokohama, Kanagawa in 1954. Phoographer. independented as a free lance photographer in 1981.

Nakai Hiroyasu

Born in Hachinohe, Aomori in 1955. a student of Hosoe Eikou workshop in a third term. a leader of Gallery Hokuten in Hachinohe.

Moriyama Daido

Born in Osaka in 1938. Photographer.
Plenty of exhibisions and group exhibisions in the world. Photographic collections and books are published in the world as Japan, France, U.S.A., England etc...
